Calling all photographers – novice, hobby, and professional! STEAMfest is holding a photo contest for the best image representing STEAMFest 2023’s event. 

We want to see how you imagine, discover and explore the STEAMfest event through your own experience. Capture the joy, happiness, and fun of the day in your own style, light and viewpoint.

Where? Post your entries to Instagram and use the hashtag #wsteamfest2023! It’s important you use the provided hashtag so that we can see your work.

So grab your cameras – digital, mobile, tablet – whatever you choose and share your visions of STEAMFest 2023!

Who is eligible to enter and can they enter multiple times?
The minimum age to enter is 13 years old. Contestants may enter multiple images. Images must be tagged using #wsteamfest2023 to be considered.

What prize(s) will be offered?
3rd place – button and sticker and a mention on our Instagram account

2nd place – Tshirt, button, and sticker, and a mention and story post to our Instagram account

1st place – $25 GC to Brooklyn South Pizzeria, 2023 TShirt, button, and sticker, a post, story, and feature post on our Instagram account.

How do you intend to use the photos the entrants provide?
STEAMfest will share the image on social media and promotion of the 2023 event and future STEAMfest events. STEAMfest reserves all rights to use the image across multiple marketing channels to promote the STEAMfest brand and mission.

When will the contest close?
The contest will close at midnight on Monday, March 27, 2023.

How and when will winners be notified?
Winners of the photography contest will be notified on Tuesday, March 28 via DM on Instagram.

IMPORTANT:

All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

• The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
• Violators will be removed from the contest, stripped of any prize(s), and banned from entering future contests.
• Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
• Entries will be judged by the STEAMfest team organizers. All decisions are final. The STEAMfest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
• By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by STEAMfest for advertising purposes.
• Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
• The prize must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable.
• The winner will be contacted via the Instagram account used to post the image provided during entry. If no response is received after [three] business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
• The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
