Activity Booth

Explore how cotton becomes material that makes up the clothes we wear and the items we use daily.

From the original cotton gin to the growth of textile factories, explore how cotton is turned into a material that is used to make clothes and other textiles that you use every day! Students can use a rudimentary cotton gin to see how to separate seeds from the cotton, and see a demonstration of knitting and weaving to create materials they can use every day!
