Glow and Grow Circuits

PrevPreviousRobot Demo – Public Robot Driving Opportunity
NextThe Science Behind FireNext

Build a light-up greeting card using copper tape, LEDs, and a paper switch to explore how circuits work.

Visitors of all ages build their own illuminated paper circuit cards using copper tape, coin batteries, LEDs, and a handmade paper switch. Participants choose from several designs — including a firefly, lighthouse, sunset, UFO, and Porsche — each pre-printed on card stock and folded like a greeting card. Inside, a hand-drawn circuit diagram shows exactly where to place each component. A small hole is pre-poked in the front of the card so that when the LED is positioned correctly, it shines through and illuminates the artwork.
