Central Piedmont: Nondestructive Examination Technology

We use advanced imaging technologies, like ultrasound and X-ray, to detect defects without damaging the item.
https://www.cpcc.edu/programs/nondestructive-examination-technology
The Nondestructive Examination Technology Program at Central Piedmont prepares students for a career as a Nondestructive Testing (NDT) technician. We use imaging technologies, similar to those used in medicine, to inspect items without damaging them. Applications of this technology include inspections done in power generation plants, infrastructure, aerospace, manufacturing, construction, and many other industry sectors. Our A.A.S degree is fully transferable to East Carolina University. Our graduates currently enjoy a 95%-plus placement rate upon graduation, and many paid internships are available. Our industry is expected to grow by over 25% in the next decade.
